  • The Eyes Have It

Well, it has been a long and fruitful day. The doc said I needed to see the eye doctor because he couldn't see anything.Had to call eye doc from family doc office. He said come right over.

By the way did I say we had our first snow this  morning? Yes, crazy drivers out.

Anyway, on to the eye doctor,  he dilated the eyes, did tests and took pictures. Then said he would call the retina vitreous doc. The retina doc says send her right over. By now I feel like I'm playing Red Rover, Red Rover, send Lynda right over!  Can't see because of dilated eyes but the  retina guy re-dilates the eyes. He does every thing the first guy did and then his speciality services. My file photos and sketches show no change in retina tear so all is well. I merely have vitreous gel floating around. Diagnosis: Do nothing it will go away; maybe.

I'm glad it's nothing! Now for my eyes to go back to normal!  More later on the other stuff. I think I've bored the few of you enough! I'm having a cuppa joe and kicking back!

  • I'm Off to see the Doctor

Later this morning I have a doctor's appointment. I have to get some prescriptions renewed, a checkup and discuss my back pain again. The weirdest thing happened last night; I woke up from a dream that had a loud screaming noise in my ears and head and a flash in my left eye. It was like a camera lens opening and closing. It has continued this morning so I am a little worried about it. I have a slight tear in my retina that has been fine for 2 years but it just may have done something strange last night. We will see.

Also, my insurance is changing. Our company plan has been taken over by another trust so we will be getting new cards and new instructions for fees, and co pays.  I am dreading all the phone calls. So far I have learned the new eye program has no network doctors in our area, or even within a 25 mile radius. Bummer!

My sugar levels have been askew this past couple of weeks but nothing to far out of line. I just need to walk more and watch my carb intake. Easier said than done!

Our nephew is getting married Friday so the week will end on a wonderful and happy note. Hope yours does too!

  • Xanga Leaving????

I got a message that xanga may be leaving. Like not existing anymore. I like just writing my little everyday stories and posting my ordinary pictures here. I like reading other peoples stories and seeing their photos, art work and how they view things.

I do have a blog on Blogger but I haven't been able to work with it as easily as xanga. I guess I will have to go there and practice.  It has been a private kind of place to put down thoughts and feelings I need to express for my eyes only. Some times I just need to have my self a little pity party.

I just finished putting windows 7 on this computer and boy was it time consuming. It took 8 dvds to backup my stuff. This morning about 3 hours to update to windows 7. Now I need to find out what is different and what is easier and what is more of a pain. I hope it is all better. It was a free update for buying the laptop.

Well, I'm off to tour Windows 7.

The happys! We had a great time visiting these wonderful boys. They are famous movie stars: oldest is Cary Grant and youngest is Gregory Peck. Daughter loves old movies and truly great movie stars. If she had a girl her name would have been Audrey Hepburn.

thanksgivingatamys nov09 023 Cary doing the computer games. He is a whiz and has been using a computer since he was 2. He has his mom's hair but looks like his dad.

thanksgivingatamys nov09 021 Gregory looks so serene doesn't he? Well, that's just a cute look for oma. He is always moving and can't wait for the next thing to come along. He looks like the good guy's dad. So I guess you know where the curly hair comes from.thanksgivingatamys nov09 032 The morning after Thanksgiving. Youngest daughter and hubby on KP duty. She finally let me set the table. I had a do nothing Thanksgiving and I really enjoyed it. It was just hard to get use to not doing anything.

I have started the decorating and I am cutting down again this year. It's taking longer because I am going through all the decorations and giving what I don't want to goodwill. I am hoping to have only about 5 or 6 bins to put back after the holidays.

    Peace
